ALJ Hearing Done
« on: April 22, 2022, 07:34:13 am »
Had it 7 days ago.
Right before the hearing I was notified with a new video link and a new Judge.  Original judge might have been ill? They didnt say.
Original Judge had a near 70% approval rating. My attorney dealt with her before and seemed comfortable.
New Judge is from another state and has a 35% approval rating. :(
My attorney never dealt with her before :(
I'm really thankful that she took my case at the last minute instead of me waiting months for a reschedule (I thanked her for that) but her rating scared the shit out of me.
My attorney called me right away to go over things before the hearing being this was a last minute change.

She seemed fair but her rating is scaring the shit out of me. It seems my doctors RFC report was talked about a lot at the end. I had no idea what was written in it before this. Judge reading it seemed to say how I could not do many things when discussing it with the VE. Talked something about 10% and the VE said no. No idea what that was about.
 And now the waiting game.
Its going to be so stressful waiting on the decision.

Most of what the VE decides on is, "Are there any jobs that can be done by the applicant?".
So, I'm hoping that the No means that there isn't a job they expect you to be able to fill.
Crossing my fingers and wishing you good luck.

Now it shows step 4 of 5 on the portal. ALJ has completed reviewing my appeal and a local SS started a final review of non-medical. Says this part takes 2-4 weeks

Does this mean the AJL made a decision?
