guys just to update you all. I was supposed to have my hearing on May 13 and it was cancelled because the judge was sick. Hearing was reschedule for June !st. The judge was running late an hour later my lawyer called and said that that the medical expert was not available. My mind was having all these crazy thoughts. But however the judge spoke with my lawyer and made a decision of Fully Favorable. I'm so happy and excited and nervous
I know I should wait for the approval letter in the mail. Thanks to this website that has helped me and so many people.

I was so excited I forgot to ask my lawyer how much should I expect for back paid and monthly payments. I check the website but it still says Im not recieving any benefits. any input will be appreciated as of how long you guys waited for back pay and when did your monthly payments began?

I received my backpay about 3 weeks after I received my approval letter. Monthly benefits started about 5 weeks after I received backpay and by then I had received my award letter in addition to my approval letter. The award letter usually explains how much backpay you're owed, what months it covers, your monthly benefit amount, etc.

If you have something thing like a worker's comp claim involved, child support owed, taxes owed to the government and you're not on a payment plan, etc., it can hold up the backpay.

Congrats!

I had a federal remand . I had to wait  6 months for first payment , then another 2 months for back pay. Now i am still waiting for dependant benefits... but hey, you made it after all these years. Congrats.

Thank you guys for the congratulations. It has been a long process. My SSA account is still not updated. I called social security to find out how much my benefits a month will be. I was told that they can not provide me that information. I got my award letter last week.
