Work CDR with no paystubs

Does anyone know what happens during a work CDR if you cannot get paystubs?  Do they call your employer, or is there another way for them to get the information?  Does it matter if you no longer work at that job?  Thanks!

You can contact your previous employer for the information.

Call your employers Human Resource office and ask them for a print out of the stubs.  My daughter had to get do that a few times and always very helpful.

Thanks for your suggestions, but I've already contacted HR and gotten no reply. I seem to recall SSA having access to quarterly wage reports... will they just use those, or do they need an exact breakdown?
