I won my case!
« on: November 16, 2019, 07:47:03 am »
First of all this has been a not so good year for me. My first hearing was back in July and because of my impairment (hearing loss) the judge was not able to swear me in so he just talked to the Voc expert and then he set another date so he could have a medical expert there. My new court date was yesterday. Back in August my mother in law died and then last Sunday my mom died and we had her funeral Wednesday so I really had no time to think about my hearing coming up. At my hearing the judge only talked to the medical expert which took about 15 minutes and then he approved my case and he set my onset date for a month earlier than what I applied for. I'm in total shock, I couldn't hear what was being said and my lawyer told me after we went out into the hallway. I just broke down, my wife heard me and thought that it got postponed again. I feel it's over and I still can't believe the judge approved it on the spot.
