I'm sooo very sorry for your hubby's denial.  He seems to be in so much pain.  It is so hard to deal with....the filing....the wait....the exams....and then the ultimate agony...the denial.  I am sending you and your husband positive thoughts and praying for you both.

So sorry for the denial, i know first hand how agonizing it could be. What you need to do is thoroughly go over the reasons cited for the denial. Don't use a lawyer, read the fine print yourself or use a patient younger relative who has a very good grasp of written English language: look for the mistakes made during the course of your application process, remember SSA is made up of human beings capable of making mistakes. Now, use the discrepancies noted effectively in your reconsideration letter & hope for the best.
