It takes far more than a diagnosis to be approved for disability. In addition, for SSDI you must have enough work credits. How does your Chrons prevent you from working ? How does it affect your ability to perform Activities Of Daily Living (grocery shopping, cooking, laundry, housework, ect)? How long have you been working ? Age and education also play a role. Do you have children ? If you do, how old are they ? If they are under school age, do you need help caring for them ? You can go to the link below and create an account. You should be able to find out if you have enough work credits for SSDI and Medicare there. If you do, it should also have the approximate amount of monthly SSDI benefits.

I have been diagnosed with Crohn

We're currently experiencing a forum software glitch that cuts off some people's posts when they use punctuation like apostrophes. Next time try typing things like "Crohns" instead of "Crohn's" and your post shouldn't get cut off. My apologies. I realize this is very cumbersome.
