When to expect functionality report
« on: December 26, 2020, 10:17:33 am »
Hello All! I’m new here and my husband is the applicant. He applied on October 26, 2020. He applied for SSDI and SSI. We are in the initial phase (first time applying) and bracing for the worst case scenario. But, hopeful for an approval! I do have a question, I received the third party Adult Functionality Report about two weeks ago and returned it. But, my husband is still waiting on his packet of paperwork. Is that common or should we call his DDS caseworker? Also, there’s another letter coming today (12/26) via mail that’s in my name and I’m really confused b/c my husband has gotten zilch! Any help, suggestions, advice, etc? TIA!

I replied on your other post.  If you got a 3rd party form several weeks ago & he has gotten nothing, he needs to call the worker (on your form) on Monday.  The post office is challenging right now so I would be very concerned it got lost.

Thanks, Helper! I wasn’t sure if questions would be answered on the other thread. I will definitely let my husband know to call on Monday. I knew something had to be wrong and our mail person is not the same person each day, they don’t arrive until 6-7pm and we ALWAYS end up with someone else’s mail. Smh. But, I digress. Thanks, Helper!!

UPDATE (For the ppl who care or may be in the same situation): My husband spoke with his DDS caseworker and she decided to complete his AFR over the phone. She updated us on how far along he is as far as the process or steps. Plus, I was able to let her know about my delayed third party AFR. We continue to patiently wait for the decision.

curious how often do you get the AFR.  I got one around yr 2 I think.  Is that it or will you get more in future?
