MRI from PJ1963
« on: August 11, 2012, 02:54:51 am »
We would like to thank Pennie (PJ1963) for taking the time to share an MRI picture of her Rapid Destructive Hip Disease for all of us to view and discuss.

I hope this sparks a new and interesting way to see and learn from each other, as well as our disabilities and how they effect us.

To view, simply click on the image below to expand in window or click on the file name to download.

Thanks Hyacinth.  I can't keep up with all of your beautifully colored flowerscapes.

Thanks Marci!

Ouch, Pennie! Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, my medically untrained eye cannot deduce much from this scan, except that you have nice hips.

Hey, you said, and I quote: "I have no shame."  We are in the same boat.

Maybe if we got an explanation of what we are looking at. i think this is a great idea..and I will post too. Do I attatch an email to Hyacinth? It isn't actually that hard to understand once you learn some of the basics..and so many times not...the radiologist reading them misses critical information...this is def a great idea.

Thank you Hyacinth for cleaning that image up, I am not to puter savvy! The biggest problem is my left hip.
The joint is mostly gone and the cartlidge is crushed. I will try to fine the MRI info, the typewritten part that
explains it in that crazy doctor text. My whole left side is out of whack. My right hip is in the beginning stages of destruction~looks kind of black at the top of the joint. This MRI is from April 2011~I can imagine I am a lot worse at this point.
I had to google all the words that were written on the Mri result page from the imaging place. The one that really upsets me is AVN. I know I already had some arthritis in my hip, I took a hard fall and it crushed the cartlidge, that was the beginning of the end. I will post more info tomorrow~Thank you for looking~would like to see others post thiers also!

Thank you Emmy! This quote is very special to me :heartthrob:

My hubby found it and shared it with me a few years ago when I was with my abusive ex. He (hubby) and this quote are what gave me the strength to finally leave him after nearly 8 years.

Now I am still following it while living with my disabilities and going through this social security process.

I've learned that strength can come from anywhere :)
