Hello forumposter100,
I have been prescribed marijuana by my Neurologist at a major hospital after all other medications failed including opioids, just like you I'm a nonsmoker so I tried edibles in different forms. I had been off opioids for a while and was on a different class of meds so stopping treatment wasn't an issue.
I would make sure that it is prescribed by a specialist, not a PCP, and that the reason for changing treatment be documented. I would also ask your doctor what would be best for your type of pain and where to purchase it from. Educate yourself about the different products.
To reduce concerns and anxiety in regards to SSA, you may want to check your CDR diary. To be on the safe side, I would probably avoid doing it if your CDR is due soon.
MMJ helps a lot of people, it didn't for me but glad I tried it.
