Waiting since 04/12..was told SS is Backed Up!!!! can u believe it? worrying how to keep my house...sure others out there are too...

I received my approval on reconsideration.  I had a lawyer but I just had the feeling the lawyer wasnt going to send all of the medical records to Social Security right away.  So I sent every record including emergency room records. Everytime i had something new, i sent it in to Social Security.

The attorneys like that 3rd time around and in front of the judge so they can get that retroactive cap.  When I went through the process the cap was $4000 for the lawyers fee and that was it, they couldnt charge the paperwork charges that they charge now.

So if they aren't done with your case, just keep sending in those medical records.

I agree with ANNE below.  My attorney did nothing after filing the Reconsideration request.  nothing.  I sent records in as I got them.  I literally had NO contact with my attorney from the day I hired her and she filed the Recons to the day I got approved.

So get all records u can and send them in and keep doing so!

No it wasn't denied - but I never had to appear in front of an ALJ as planned - my case was reviewed in preparation of going in front of the ALJ and I was sent a letter in reviewing your case we had decided it is a "fully Favorable" decision. Then I got a dismissal notice for the hearing, but still waiting on everything else. No award letter yet or funds.
