There has been much tragedy in my life; at least half of it actually happened.

"I look back and miss who I used to be"

This just sticks in my mind since you wrote it the other day.

Mike,
I think I would add to that "however I am proud of who I have become."  Being who I used to be was easy.  It required very little effort or humility on my part.  Being who I am now has truly made me a better person and allowed me to see who truly cares.

the sun will rise
in a few minutes.

it's been doing it
--regularly--
for as long as I
can remember.

maybe I should
pin my hopes
on important,
but often
unnoticed,
certainties
like that...

This morning my husband said something so endearing:

I love you a lotta little bits

What that said to me is that he doesn’t just say he loves me without knowing the reasons why. He has thought out and knows all the little things about me he loves, and can add up a ‘lotta’ them into loving me. I’m sure there are things about me he doesn’t love, but there aren’t a ‘lotta’ them.

I think the same can be said about all of our individual lives. There are things, like dealing with SSA/DDS that we don’t love. But what about all the things we do love. So, my thought for this day is:

Love Life
in
a ‘lotta’ little bits

I love that..My husband could work on his poetic side a bit.  If he came out with something like that I would know he was overtaken by aliens.

I want to share something that I saw yesterday on TV. I  thought it was a perfect way to describe the members of this site.  "Experience allows you to be empathetic and not just sympathetic."

I love the "Chicken Soup" book series.  They are such "feel good" books.  Any writers in this group??

Any inspiring thoughts/stories for entry into a book titled "Chicken Soup for the Disabled"???

YES, You Can!

I will be at peace when......I choose to be at peace, no matter what is going on.

                               PLEASE
                               EXCUSE
                               ALL
                               CRAZY
                               EXPERIENCES!!!

It is just life's way of letting you know that things can, will and do get better.

Life is like a grindstone....
whether it wears you down or polishes you up
depends on what you are made of.

Here's one I've always liked.

All the strength and force of man comes from his faith in things unseen.
He who believes is strong; he who doubts is weak.
Strong convictions precede great actions.
