Title: What makes You feel better?
Post by: Dragon Fly on December 14, 2010, 01:36:49 pm
Good day to all...so last night I was filling out my adult function forms, and reading over my boyfriend's letter, and it got me thinking about just how wrapped up I am in the "disability" part of my life sometimes. I tend to worry, worry, worry...and forget to think about all the awesome and amazing things going on around me that actually make me genuinely happy.

So I thought it might be a good idea for us to make a list of reminders. They say that focusing on bad things gets you more bad things. So let's focus on some good things and see what other good things come along...I'll start....

I Love:
>;< Hearing birds chirp. No matter what I am doing, where I am, or how crazy I feel, when I hear birds chirping in the trees, it stops any negative thought I am having and makes me smile.

>;< Smoke alarm beeps. Don't laugh at me. But there used to be a building across the street from me that must have had a smoke detector with a low battery. My boyfriend lived across the street so I was always walking back and forth. I heard it "beep" every freaking time I went back and forth. I decided that each time it beeped, it was God saying "I love you." So when I hear hose beeps now, I smile and say "I love you too, God."

>;< The first sip of coffee when it has just the right amount of cream in it.

>;< My laugh. I have about a hundred kinds. Every time I would leave an old job, the people would tell me they miss my laugh. I haven't really been laughing all that much in the last 2 years....but it's starting to come back. Big loud obnoxious belly laughs. I feel very grateful.

>;< Stretching. I hate to do it. But I love when it's over.

>;< A penny on the ground. I might have been a metal detector in my last life. I scan the ground for pennies and have so far found hundreds. Each time I find one, I pick it up, look at the year, and think of something positive about that time in my life. If there was nothing positive, I say thank you for getting me here. If I was not alive, I say thank you for someone who was and make a wish for them.

>;< Genuine smiles.

Just a few....your turn!!

Hubby's smile

Hearing the chimes hubby got for my last B-day - they sound like church bells.

When my smallest furry one lies down beside me, stretches her head across my neck and purrs in my ear.

When my biggest furry one tries to fit himself into my lap like the little ones can. I can't help but laugh when he slides off backwards.

Snow on the ground yesterday morning.

My electric blanket.

The sound of rain on the roof.

Watching the sunset slowly over the river. This time of year it is spectacular, since the sun is farther south.

Watching the birds at the porch feeders. We have photographed 54 different species, with six species that bring the babies to the porch rails to feed. They aren't bothered by us - you know the hand that feeds.

The color every spring.

The color every fall.

My oldest nephew's voice at the other end of the phone.

My attempts to sign with my youngest nephew over the webcam. That makes him laugh.

The latest photo of my grand-niece.

I love the smell of the rain on a spring day.

I love seeing my daughter happy and not sad.

I love the smell of diesel fuel..LOL

I love a rainy day, curled up on the bed with my hubby watching a good movie.

I love the sounds of laughter from little kids playing.

I love seeing my pug and corgi get so excited when I come in the door.

I love the quietness in the morning with my first cup of coffee.

I love going fishing, the peacefulness of it all.

I love riding my motorcycle, with the wind blowing in my face.

Most of all, I love my God, Family and Friends............

Seeing my mother.  she lives so far, and i can't travel.  so i talk to her every day in between her visits here.  This may sound funny, but she was a teacher, an always made me go to school unless i was really sick, she kept on my butt to study, go to work, clean the house.  Now, she is behind me in my claim, and for her to validate me, i have to be in pretty bad shape.  But gettin back to what makes me feel better.

This may sound weird, but my mom was always fatter than me.  now that she lost weight, i am fatter, and she has been sending me her old "fat" clothes to wear, and they are very comfortable.  i feel so secure when i wear them.

also, my bunny nuzzling  my hand with her nose when i pet her makes me feel wonderful.

I agree with Mousey, there is nothing strange at all about how you feel when you wear her clothes.  It is sort of like having her all around you.  I like the thought, it makes me smile.

I suppose there must be some physiological reason for that.... But what DOESN'T make me feel better is the big ugly crop circles on my eyes after it's over!!

For anyone who has ever had that problem, get some Clarin's eye contour gel. It works like a miracle!

I too love the birds singing. I have a bird feeder and birdbath in my back yard. I love to sit on my porch and watch the painted buntings and cardinals.
My dog Girlie Girl when she snuggles up to me on the "outside" love seat on my porch. She is a rescue dog we got from a no-kill shelter. She was in "lock down" as my hubby calls it, for 10 months, poor thing.
I also love growing and caring for plants, tropical ornamentals and veggies. All of which look pretty sad right now.
The first cup of coffee in the morning and the sun coming up are a fav of mine too.

I love my dog Jack, especially when I get home and he is all hyper and excited to see me.
I love snow covered trees, as long as I can stay home and not have to drive in it.
I love a good joke and how it makes me laugh.
I love making others smile.
I love taking photographs.
I love pepperoni pizza.
Most of all I love helping others.

tho it doesnt take long for me to do it:
spending girl time with my 13 yr old.I spent 3 hrs in her room yesterday playing with her hair and getting beauty tips from her ;D
my sweet husband bringing me home a surprise yesterday, a yankee candle, 'just because'
it was a nice day... then the evil stress demon TRIED to poke his head in my fun and remind me of my upcoming hearing..but I just sighed and went to bed ;D

It's hard to say what exactly cheers me up or makes me feel better. Since my parents dying before i turned 18, and loosing basically everything, i've learned to mask and hide away everything very well. I've been told many times that people don't know how i keep going. Honestly some days i don't want too.

My husband does everything he can to keep me laughing and smiling at all times. But now with this illness fully explained on my plate deep down i want to give up. I laugh and smile but it's empty. Nothing really fully takes away the pain and sadness that i feel. I pop my pills and am thankfull for the dulling of the pain, but with every pill i feel as if this is my life now. Popping these pills 4x a day is what its going to take to numb the reminder that my life to me is ruined... I hate to be a pitty party but i feel like i can express myself here. My husband and I, are like E.T. (the movie) Linked basically. I can't do anything to compromise his happiness because thats just not fair.

Thank You again everyone for your kind words. I hate complaining and i hate being a cry baby, sometimes when you have to be strong all the time, you just can't anymore. I really find this site helpful, even if i don't have the energy to post everyday i still try and read everyone's threads and posts to remember that i'm not alone and there are others that go through my struggles. I will try and make my posts more positive, could be a step on my behalf, to try and post positive things, rather then negative.

Boo and all....disabilities are disabling, tiring, draining and frustrating. If  we felt good all the time we probably wouldn't be on this site!! It's you guys that give me the guts to get up and go sometimes when I am running on fumes...but when I break down, I break down hard!

The best thing for me to try and remember is that as low as I can feel sometimes there is an opposite end to that....and just try to ride it out.

Humor and smiles and so good for the soul. In this process of filing for SSDI sometimes you just have to find some humor in it or it will drive you completely bonkers.

Marsha, I'm glad you appreciate our humor. Dragon Fly is our resident humor Queen.  :) I'm so glad that you find "comfort" here. That was my draw to the site to. I was lonely and didn't have any answers when I started this awful journey. We all can relate in one way or another here which makes us all have a bond together. Am so glad you have found us and that comfort.

Hmmmmm....am I really? Humor Queen? Yesterday the the psych he said "Wow you really have one of the worst cases of Dysthymia I have ever encountered." And I asked "What's dysthymia?"

He said "Consider it "very bad mood."

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

The thing is he's probably correct. So the TOP thing I add to the list of what makes me feel better is....making other people smile and forget their pain for a minute.

Nothing really makes me feel better. I hate to say that!
I think what could make me feel better is winning this new SSDI case at the initial level and dodge the rest of the levels. I think if I should win this time around, that should do the trick to make me fell somewhat better.
If there was a cure or a pill for PTSD and it could make everything go away then that would make me feel so much better then anything else. I could live with chronic back pain but to get rid of the PTSD would do it for me most then anything else. I might become my old self again and venture out instead of hiding like a hermit.

When beautiful daughter comes over and calls me. She is always just randomly saying Daddy I love you. When she is with me it's as if all the pain disappears or lessens significantly. Maybe its endorphines or something but she is my love my life and my painkiller.

I also love watching her dance. She's 4 going on 14 and she dances with the 8 to 10 year olds and it makes me happy to see her go above what she should be able to do and love doing it at the same time

Without the support of my family, I don't know if anything else that makes me feel better.

The sound of my 13 year old voice, when she say mother, can I do something for you? Her voice make me feel better, knowing that I am able to walk, talk, feel, hear and smell make me feel better, the sound of my Chiwawa (Lola) barking, and dancing with joy when I walk in the room.  My 32 year old who love to cook healthy foods, provide a good healthy meal for me; my 25 year who is going to school working on her Master's make me feel better, my 74 year old mother who call me everyday to ask how I am feeling, :police: and my baby sister who call me everyday too.  Family is so important when they understand and have compassion.  I am grateful that my family make me feel better.

They can never take away the pain, but, my pain seem to lessen when I can hear their voice.

Post by: Boo0327 on July 12, 2011, 07:54:52 am
Most days, i feel like nothing at all except a quick favorable decision on my case could make me feel better, but then my 2 little girls wake up and run downstairs to say good morning mommy, i love you. My daughter Andrea just turned 4 in June and my other one Little Kathy will be 3 in August. I am also 6 months pregnant, so I haven't been able to take any of my necessary meds in a while now, and I think that is why I feel so down and blue all of the time, but my kids and my husband try their best to make me feel better as often as possible.

I found this thread and found such a warmth radiating from it that I just had to post.

* Listening to my various Celtic music CD's.

* Curling up with a good book in my snuggie.

* Sitting outside in my rocking chair in the fall with the leaves changing colors and enjoying nature.

* Painting

* Reading poetry by Robert Frost.

* Spending time on this site reading and getting to know y'all more and more.

Babybluelas,
I love Robert Frost!!! And Walt Whitman. ;D.

Watching my kids laugh and play with each other.  Just listening to their conversations makes me smile.
The sound of rain on the windows
Watching the leaves change colors
Making hot cocoa for the kids.
The sound of birds chirping when spring arrives.

* Sudden feeling of a "graceful movement" does a lot to uplift my spirits

* Making someone laugh or smile

* Listening to "Dream Country" - a NatureQuest CD - over and over again

* Reading any one of the "Chicken Soup"  book series

* This is silly, but it makes me feel good >> Wearing brand new underwear (HeeHee)

I found another thing today that makes me feel good...

* Watching my sisters Boston Terrier (Dog) try to catch a moth and run into the bannister on the porch.

True story... I'm beginning to think that the dog needs mental therapy. XD

lol....
in spite of my neck and other bones and joints hurting... i managed to visit a land and beautiful place in the european waters... in the world of capt jack sparrow... i bought pirates of the caribbean 4: on stranger tides, and hubby and i watched it...
if you have not seen this movie yet, i highly recommend it! totally awesome!  capt jack was not his usual comical self throughout it, only near the end...an awesome adventure...
the only thing i will tell you, is to watch for capt jack's dad to make an appearance early in the movie, and it was a short one of course.. he appeared in either the 2nd or 3rd movie very briefly as well.. jack's dad is played by keith richards (member of the rolling stones band in each movie), and him playing jack's dad was actually johnny depp's idea, and where johnny gets the hand motions from....
so if you are a pirates fan or johnny depp fan, this is a must see!!!

I love the Pirates movies. My sister and I have the first three, and will be getting the fourth soon. We saw it at Walmart Wednesday. They had the dvd and blu ray together in the same package for 22 and 24 dollars. Neither one of us have a blu ray? Hopefully, they will drop the price before Christmas. These movies are fun to watch.  :)

that is where they get you now... if you don t own a blu-ray player, you have to buy the combo pack, it has blu ray & dvd versions in it, 2 different disc... thats what we got cause we don t have a blu ray either... i think within the next 2 yrs, we will all be forced to buy a blu ray player, cause they will stop making regular dvd's, just like they stopped the vhs.. the combo here is $24.96 plus tax
Title: Re: What makes You feel better?
Post by: titan on October 21, 2011, 05:45:31 pm
Yeah, I figured we would be forced to get blu rays, until the next invention comes along. I was looking at blu ray players the other day also. It doesn't work any more, but I still have my first player...beta max.  :D
Title: Re: What makes You feel better?
Post by: Dragon Fly on October 21, 2011, 09:00:57 pm
Ha! I remember Betamax!

Do the Blurays come in a separate box? I would sell them on ebay or Amazon! Or even buy used ones that way....

Let's see off the top of my head:

-When my husband walks up and kisses me on the forehead. For some reason it is the simpliest sweetest gesture and I instantly feel peace. If only briefly :)

-When my furbabies curl up in my lap with those love filled eyes and purr. You know there is no one else on earth who they love more.

-Even though it is just hubby and I living here. Getting up alone and having quiet time in the morning

-My family all eats dinner together every night. My in laws come over, my son comes over and we have dinner. Which is chaotic to say the least sometimes for me. But after dinner we all grab our coffee and sit in the living room and watch TV together for an hour or so and giggle and laugh at what we are watching and to me that is so much fun just to sit with everyone and laugh.

- The Colors of Fall they soothe me for some reason. I sit there and just look at the leaves and colors and I am amazed.

- Watching snow fall. I could sit and watch it for hours. I think because I grew up in Florida and never saw it before, I am awed by it still 15 years later.

- A good rib eye steak. Eating it makes my eyes roll back in my head.

That is all I can think of now.

I just read this entire thread and I love it! It really makes you sit and think. Loved seeing all the things that makes everyone feel better and everybody's post put a smile on my face as I was reminded about many things that make me feel better.

I love life. The ups, the downs, the in-betweens. Just being alive and just feeling, whether it's pain, sadness, happiness, etc. It all reminds me that I'm alive and still kickin'!

Let's see...

Music (every type of genre, just depends on what I feel like listening to on a certain day)

Playing the piano

Joking around with my kids and laughing until our sides burst

Fishing (all day long on a beautiful summer day)

The smell of freshly cut grass

Looking up at the stars at night and viewing the northern lights

Watching the old stand by "comfort" movies, like "Dirty Dancing", "Ghost", "Pretty Woman", "Stand by Me"... etc.

Viewing Christmas light displays during the holidays

Baking (anything and everything)

When my husband cooks for me. I know he hates to do it, but I'm glad he does it for me. (He's actually an excellent cook!)

When my kids offer to help out around the house and don't expect an allowance for it. :-)

Driving with all the windows down during the summer and enjoying the fresh, warm air!  :car:

The smell of candles, especially during a dreary, rainy summer day with the windows  open just a bit.

Spending time with my parents, sisters, and just my entire family.

Doing what I can to help others and as often as I can.

The internet makes me feel better...without it, I couldn't get to this forum and that would make me sad!  :frown3:

I love being on an airplane and looking out the window

Being in Vegas always makes me happy, I just love the smell of the air there for some reason!

The ocean or being near water.

Watching butterflies fly.

Campfires and roasting marshmallows.

Travelling to new places, since I'm always looking for a new adventure.

Drawing (when my fingers allow it!)

The way sheets smell after they've been washed and hung out to dry.

When my kids surprise me with breakfast in bed in the morning.

My pets.... my golden retriever, my kitty, chinchilla, and turtles.

Going to museums and taking in the culture.

I love older cars.... 1970's muscle cars, I smile whenever I see one. :)

Memories of the loved ones I've lost and dreaming of them at night.

The smell of popcorn at a movie theater. (it just seems to smell better there!)

Sleeping in and knowing I don't have anything to do that day.

OH MY GOODNESS, I can't forget steak!! T-Bone for me... I will even try to eat the bone! (I know... gross!) :)

Ok, there's so many more things I could add, but I won't bore you all with them. :-)

I loved "To kill a mockingbird" I read the book first and it was one of those books I could not put down! I didn't know Survivor was still on! Yes there was a TV remake in the late 90's starring Steven Weber, but it was nothing compaired to Jack. The remake was more true to the book. Also heard The Stand was gonna have a remake, but who's gonna replace Rob Lowe for that one.

Title: Re: What makes You feel better?
Post by: jshorty77 on January 31, 2012, 06:29:07 pm
Yeah, the remake just didn't touch the original at all, as far as the creepiness goes! The remake was done in 1997 with Steven Weber (the guy from the tv show "Wings") as John Torrence and Rebecca De Mornay played his wife. It was a TV mini-series and in my opinion it SUCKED! lol  Director Stanley Kubrick (in 1980) directed the movie in such a way that it was just beyond perfection with imperfection.... what I mean is, if you look at the layout of the hotel, some of the doors or windows could not possibly be there, the main rooms were bigger than they possibly could have been (considering where the doors were), along with other strange elements. He did that on purpose to add to the psychological aspects of the movie. No other actor but Jack Nicholson could have pulled off that roll as John. The music in it alone will scare the crud out of you! Now I feel like watching it again right now.  :yikes:

talking about tv shows and movies.... we watch mostly USA channel for NCIS. we watch storage wars, and those type shows. & love american pickers !!  but then i also like to watch Royal Pains, Covert Affairs and others.. but cant wait for "the walking dead" to start back on feb 12!! it is all filmed in georgia, and a huge amount of it is filmed very close to where we live!!  it gets crazy around filming locations when they start filming- blocking a main hwy off for days at a time & such....
sometimes i even feel like i am turning into a  zombie-lol...
and of course i love dukes of hazzard, but cmt just refuses to put it back on prime-time.. so many kids and younger generation want to watch it but with it on at 1 & 2 am-- they cant!!

Vicodin 5/500

Being in nature

Birds outside the window, especially the little quail that used to come every morning & every night at my old house.

The pigs that used to come by my old house.  Javelinas are adorable!!

Having a garden

Living in nature

Being warm

Being pain free

Making Art

Guess I need to work on this list!  lol, I'll have to make a more concerted effort to figure out what DOES make me feel better.
I've been so busy with moving & my roomate & friend problems, that I have not taken the time to even consider this!  or to consider what I need, instead of dealing with all of my 'friends' & them being rude & me trying to 'deal' with it.  Guess I need to concentrate on ME, MY CASE, & WHAT MAKES ME FEEL BETTER.

Thanks for the reminder <3

Now the funny thing about the job... The lady called me Thursday and in a world wind already about Beaus brain MRI yesterday, she told me she would call me in to start Saturday. I told her I wouldnt be able to work on the 6th because Beau sees the Neurologist and hubby ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT handle that much responsibility. (not being mean, just being simply honest).
So, I sleep almost NONE last night and get up this morning. Get ready for work.. ALL READY! So I call the lady at "work" ;) and she said... "Honey, go back to sleep! I ment NEXT Saturday".... OHHH MYYYY WORD!!!
Talk about turning RED!

AND... It makes me feel better to see Max went in front of the Judge.... A Ga Judge... DO TELL ;D

So great to focus on positives and not the drearyiness of waiting, or the illnesses we have.

Here's my list:

My children's grades, always great

Thunderstorms

Sleeping in

Christmas season

Old reruns of 80's sitcoms, nothing like them!

Mentally what makes me feel better is:
This forum :)
My 3 year old son and the funny things he comes up with
Thunderstorms
Snow storms
Room temperature bath in the dark with a few candles
Reading a good book
My fiance and his great sense of humor

There are probably a few other things but my brain isn't working all that great lately lol...I've had memory problems for the past 2-3 years, no dr is sure why. I can remember things from my childhood vividly but I cannot recall where I had just put something an hour ago, or I can't remember most of a conversation I had just yesterday...its strange...

I feel better:

♥ seeing my husband walk toward my bed in his jeans (he's usually in dress pants) on a Friday morning as he's leaving for his last workday of the week, then watching him walk away.  His backside is so darn cute in his jeans!

♥ hearing him tell me what cereal he bought for me for my breakfast (that he bought after work last night when he stopped to get groceries), and what he's cooked for me and put into little containers to heat up for my lunch.

♥ feeling his lips gently touching mine, as he bends way down to kiss me "goodbye", so I don't have to stretch my neck too much.

♥ smelling his cologne, (the one and only thing I could afford to buy him for last Christmas) that he wears every day.

( My thoughts of these things turn them into a prayer, a beautiful expression amid the pain, shame, and tendency toward self-loathing.  Typing these things, acknowledging I am so blessed fills me, makes the gratitude well up and spill over in the tiny tears still left to me.  It is a bittersweet kind of crying, still, there is praise coming from my heart for all God has given me - including my illnesses.  My husband's devotion and God's grace help me to face another day. )

1)Joans Osborne's voice. I carry it in my soul.

2)Stevie Nicks. Not just her voice, but I just love her. I am so thankful that she survived her demons and is still around for my generation. Too many great ones didn't make it. She came too close to making that list.

3)Caulking my house. We just moved into a huge old house in the Historic District but we have some old tenants that are resistant to the change... EEK!!! Caulking every single crack and crevice is my way of taking my power back! I can't control much but I sure can keep busy and try in my house!

4)The Rosie O'Donnell Show on youtube. She is crazy now and irritates the crap out of me but that show is happiness in a can.

5)Goodwill shopping for vintage t-shirts, sweater vests and hoodies to sell on ebay (let's keep it real, they are all for my collection! Mwahahaha!).

1. My sweet little chihuahua Rocco head on paws, peeking out the window every other Friday for the Schwan's man (aka: Ice Cream Man). And then the resultant running through the house wild, saying 'come quick Momma, He's here!!'

2. My friends on Facebook sending me random PM's telling me they have the 'Romper Room' mirror and they can 'see me' and I'd better cheer up.

3. Not dreading the doctor's appointment an hour away so much just because they happen to have a Starbuck's on the way home.

4. The temperatures falling...I can breath better in the Fall/winter..and don't care if the kids call us the 'Eskimo People'.

5. The attorney's paralegal or office personnel asking me 'How do you spell that?'

6. Knowing there is a new Furby coming out and putting it on my Wishlist...and knowing my friends understand me enough to actually send me one. :)

7. The immediate draining away of my panic when my nebulizer kicks in and I can breath again.

8. The 'good days' when I am able to stand long enough to make a pastry or other baked goodie for the Grandkids.

9.  The little girl across the street....who is 'me at age 3.5'. The one who, when she asked what I was doing to Rocco and I replied 'He's my cuddie bum' and now yells out 'Are you bummin' your cuddie?" LOL

10.  My collection of different sweatpants and shirts...dating back to 1974....comfy.

What makes me feel better,  Because of this site I know that I am not alone trying to find my way in this journey

but more so knowing that there are so many others out there who share the same impairments as I do and that
they understand that life is a hard enough struggle when you are "Normal" and to add mental illness or any other unseen disability is that much more difficult to make it through each day.

I could say all the "real things" in life,
family, friends and especially my Heavenly Father

but ask anyone in my family who knows me well and they will tell you:

"The Andy Griffith Show"

I have all first five seasons on dvd (only when Barney is on counts )

I have problems falling asleep at night, my mind races with one little or big worry and what needs to be done the next day.

Every night, I watch an episode of Andy and usually fall asleep long before it is over.  Have seen them thousands of times but they never fail to make me laugh and feel better.  Poor hubby, he is very understanding about my obsession lol.

Now this may sound odd to some, but here goes...
It always makes me feel better if my darling husband can LAND AND STICK a good solid lie using any of the following phrases:
"Are you losing weight?"
"Why can't my Mother be more like you?"
"Just think of the money you'll save if you buy two!"
"I was only looking because I enjoy reading the articles"
"I am so glad you've gained that extra 20 pounds, more of you to love!"
"Real men cry"
"Do we have to watch football tonight? There's a great show on lifetime I want you to see"
"I wish you would never wear makeup again".
"How does your body look better after childbirth?"
"Those aren't stretch marks, they are stripes of honor"
"I'm sorry"
"You are sooooo right!"
"You deserve it"
"Not tonight dear, you have a headache"
"Yes, she is beautiful! But, I bet she smells bad"
"I need you to show me how to do it right"
"What wrinkles?"
"That gray in your hair.... adds character!"
"Here's my wallet, do you need more?"
"You sing like an angel"

JUDGES NOTES:
Points will be deducted for detection of any of the following:
Alcohol
Medication
Free pass on trip to the doghouse
Chuckling and or snickering
Fingers crossed
Sarcasm
Buttering up

Additional Points deducted if said phrase is conveyed in the presence of friends, family or strangers resulting in any of the following gestures:

High fives
Knuckle bumps
Spewing of liquid from mouth while drinking
Dropping of jaws followed by laughing
Sly glances between husband and third person followed by anyone turning to hide their faces.

It really does give me a warm and fussy to receive a kind word... it doesn't even have to be all that true. Effort goes a long way in making my day!

I would love to get walk in tub.  But I rent.  So even if I could have the money for the tub.  Couldn't put in some one else rental home.

I dream of it!!

What I would give to get into pool too to swin...

am glad it's not just me that misses hot baths tho i feel for you and anyone who cannot bathe like they used too.......as part of my psychical therapy on my knee i got too go into a whirlppol therapy pool that was only neck high deep it would be 96 degrees or so it felt really hot at first but oh my god after getting used to it i just wanted to stay in on the bench in front of the jets gawd it felt good it wasn't big just enough room for about 6 people to comfortably work their knees

A klonopin first thing in the morning.

Yea, what Anthony ray said!   This life, here, right now in spite of everything, you know, everyday pain, fatigue etc. is a gift.  I have so much to be thankful for... 4 grown kids & 2 grandsons right here in the same town, and a loving kind husband. (He knows he can melt me on the spot by going to his keyboard and playing Unchained Melody)

The best thing for me is knowing God and having the assurance that one day, remember this life is like a vapor, one day getting a brand new body, along with no more tears, perfect health, and fellowship with my creator..... joy unspeakable!

This thread is making me feel better!  I am laughing my butt off over the Klonopin-o-philia. :Laugh05:

Oh, and btw....NEVER...I repeat NEVER....EVER....EVER.......suddenly stop taking them once you get them.  Same thing goes with Elavil.  One of my personalities decided that I didn't need them and when I realized what had been done behind my back.....I got sicker than sick.  I had to go to ER because the withdrawals are HORRIFIC!  I am still suffering a subset of withdrawals from almost two weeks ago.  Withdrawals are symptoms about a hundred times worse than what I went on them for in the first place.  I was literally babbling like an idiot and had muscle jerks and spasms all over the place.  Crying....laughing....crying....and on it went until the doc gave me an emergency supply.

Careful of that Klonopin.....

How do you control things like that?  If one does something and the others don't know about it, how do you find out?  Do you have no memory of it?

Warehouse 13 is about to start back up and I like that show quite a bit, also I rewatched LOST quite a bit, Star trek DS9; Voyager; or TNG at times, House of Cards is interesting on Netflix.  In fact, Netflix is great and very cheap to have so much entertainment value.  Some people wander how I can live on so little and entertainment value is a BIG part of that.  World of Warcraft and games like it can offer days and days of entertainment value for only $15 a month.  Mass Effect 2/3 I play at times, Skyrim I was playing qute a bit but still have on the backburner, rental games from Redbox provides cheap entertainment without the need for purchasing games or movies.  XBOX Live can offer countless hours of entertainment on many differnt types of games and even sports channels.

The occasional nature trail is very nice, seasonal theme park passes can really be great for poor folks, and just treating myself to a really really nice meal or favorite kind of food at times.  All these things can help me to feel better honestly.
