virgnnat - military benefits in addition to ssdi
« on: July 22, 2015, 09:47:22 pm »
Just wondering - my husband receives 100% VA disability and his full Army retirement.  We were told by some people he cannot draw SSDI but then again by other people that he can and because he has no earned income his benefits will not be offset.  Anyone with experience?

There is an offset for certain disability benefits like Workers Comp, but it appears VA benefits are excluded.

No offset for his DOD retirement or service connection.
