Welcome! This is the place to introduce ourselves to fellow veterans.

I served in the U.S. Army. Airborne!

As most of us were, I was trained to suck it up, and not complain - but fighting the Social Security Administration really makes it hard not to complain. I am 100% service-connected by the VA, but SSA has its own rules. The battle rages on...

I served 3 years with the Army and 17 years with the Navy. I am 0 % rating with Va but I have a claim pending.
I have been waiting for about a year how. The VA moves slowly on claims.

The hard part is getting the service-connection. If you have the evidence after that for a higher rating, then it is easier to get it raised. Note: I didn't say faster...

I went from 10% to 100% over a ten year period. I have been in the SSA process for 4 1/2 years now.
